Veronica Ballart Lilja is a Swedish illustrator based in New York. She got her degree in graphic design from IDEP in Barcelona and spent 15 years in Spain before moving to New York.
Veronica has been working as a full-time illustrator since 2007 and her clients are mainly in the fields of fashion, textile, editorials, magazines, advertising, packaging, and stamps. Most of Veronica's work is in watercolor, mixing different techniques. Her style is described as feminine, colorful, and sensitive.
Her book “If you are bored with watercolors, read this book” (Octopus Publishing Group) from 2017 has been translated into several languages and published in countries like the US, UK, Brazil, Germany, France, Russia, Spain, Norway, and Sweden.
